I rebuilt everything again. I can get my ppp connection to run
using "ezppp" an X-based ppp connection manager. But when I use my
time-tested scripts I get:
Feb 25 17:05:20 dogbert chat[1256]: Welcome to the OnRamp^M
Feb 25 17:05:20 dogbert chat[1256]: (DPM1 S11) Login -- got it
Feb 25 17:05:20 dogbert chat[1256]: send (nomad%^M)
Feb 25 17:05:20 dogbert chat[1256]: expect (word:)
Feb 25 17:05:20 dogbert chat[1256]: :nomad%^M
Feb 25 17:05:20 dogbert chat[1256]: Password: -- got it
Feb 25 17:05:20 dogbert chat[1256]: send (??????)
Feb 25 17:05:21 dogbert pppd[1263]: pppd 2.2.0 started by root, uid 0
Feb 25 17:05:21 dogbert pppd[1263]: Using interface ppp0
Feb 25 17:05:21 dogbert pppd[1263]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/modem
Feb 25 17:05:21 dogbert pppd[1263]: Hangup (SIGHUP)
Feb 25 17:05:21 dogbert pppd[1263]: Modem hangup
Feb 25 17:05:21 dogbert pppd[1263]: Connection terminated.
Feb 25 17:05:21 dogbert pppd[1263]: Exit.
Another odd thing, when I execute ezppp my window manager (fvwm2)
doesn't give it borders and such.
Anyone got any clues?
Robert
