The folks that installed my ISDN line do indeed install POTS phone
lines as well. However, not all the installers do ISDN although they
are starting to be trained for it. Its actually very similar to
installing POTS. However, there is bit of setup at the CO and there
is a different line-card in the switch for ISDN lines.
Im not sure what you are implying when they say they are "unionized
and they are well payed". Is there something wrong with that? Would
you not want to earn a decent living as well? Contrast BellSo folks
with the various cable companies' installers . . .
