Hi there, 
   I tried to install Tix (compiling) on the Slackware 3.0 ELF kernel 1.2.13.
Following the instructions in the INSTALL file, after the 
   ./setup
   make
steps, the 
   make test
gave the error messages included in the attached file. However, the following
   make install
seems to be fine since the demo works. Any idea?

PS. I also tried to install expect, but found that 
   autoconf
is a command I don't have. Anybody knows where to get it?
