listserves

Is anyone running a listserve with thier linux box? where did you get
the software? I ftped /pub/linux/system/listserv.tar.gz from ftp.cc.gatech.edu
and it didn't compile, and as I don't know enough about C in unix to go 
digging for the error, I need to find another alternative...
