DevOps Engineer



This position will play a critical role with our build, deployment and
cloud strategy for our clients. Must be a great communicator and operates
with flexibility by contributing to multiple projects and initiatives



As a DevOps engineer, you will:

•  Work with cutting edge technology in the cloud and hardware computing
space

•  Develop and implement continuous integration and deployment scripts and
best practices

•  Make architectural design decisions, solve technical problems, and make
improvements to our systems

•  Collaborate in a “DevOps” environment where you will work closely with
clients, software developers, QA and more

•  Drive to improve availability and reliability metrics for global clients



Technical Expertise:

•  Administering and tuning Java Application Server (e.g. Weblogic, Tomcat,
Websphere)

•  Administering and tuning IIS

•  Using tools for version management (i.e.: Bitbucket, GIT, SVN)

•  Using tools for continuous integration (i.e.: Jenkins/Hudson, TeamCity)

•  Automated deployment tools and release pipeline management (i.e.: Chef,
Puppet, Salt, Ansible, MSDeploy, Octopus Deploy)

•  Using tools for build management (i.e.:Maven, Gulp, MSBuild)

•  Experience with consumer facing web sites and web services, content
management systems, HTML, CSS, AJAX/JavaScript

•  Experience with databases, SQL, and Object Relational Mapping solutions,
as well as schema development, DB,XML

•  Experience with cloud hosting (i.e.: Amazon AWS, Azure)

•  Experience with CDN solutions (i.e.: Akamai)



Candidate Requirements:

•  Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

•  3+ years of experience in medium-large scale systems administration and
security (Linux - RedHat Enterprise Linux / SUSE)

•  3+ years of experience in software release and build management process
in an UNIX environment

•  3+ years of experience administering, configuring and conducting
performance investigations and tuning for web servers, such as Apache,
INSERT WINDOWS SERVER

•  3+ years of experience using at least two of the continuous delivery
tools such as Maven, SVN, GIT, Jenkins, Chef, Puppet or similar tools

•  3+ years of experience using at least two scripting languages (Shell,
Python, Perl or other scripting languages) to automate manual and
repeatable processes

•  Working knowledge of VMWare virtualization tools

•  Understanding of protocols/technologies like HTTP, SSL, LDAP, JDBC,
Servlet/JSP, SQL, HTML, XML, JSON

•  Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills

•  Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn new tools and products

•  Exceptional verbal and documentation skills
