Thompson Technologies is seeking an experienced Linux DevOps Engineer with 5 year hands-on Linux Administration/Operations Engineering experience to join the Customer Support team.

Skills and Requirements
* On-call and night and weekend work are occasionally required
Technology Experience
* Extensive Ubuntu Linux administration experience. Preferred 5+ years
* Expertise with Chef configuration management, and extensive automation responsibilities
* Knowledge of some or all of our toolset: Zabbix, Jenkins, vagrant, nginx, VMWare, Active Directory, iptables, tinc, PfSense
* Experience with networking concepts within firewall, switch, and router configuration including: VLANs, DNS, VPNs, ACLs, etc.
* Demonstrated experience identifying security vulnerabilities with the associated ability to remediate them in a timely manner
* MySQL expertise as a DBA with the ability to write moderately complex queries
* Scripting expertise, preferably Python
* Demonstrated history working within a distributed architecture
