My name is Gloria with TEKsystems. We are an IT Staffing and Solutions company with two offices in Atlanta. Aaron directed me to send all of our Linux employment openings to this address.

Below you will find all of our openings. I appreciate your time and effort to post these :)

#1. Senior RHEL Administrator is needed immediately for a contract opportunity located in Dunwoody, GA. Our client has 2 openings with the same skillset.
Our client is targeting up to $45/hour for these professionals.

Role Description:

RedHat Linux Administrator--
This Red Hat Linux admin will be responsible for has Linux OS installations, create Linux OS images using Spacewalk, Unix administration, install Linux patches, and RPMS.
This person must have extensive experience in Unix Perl/Shell/Python scripting and be able to install Jboss application server and configure and deploy the jave archives.
Must have hands on experience in implementing SAN/NAS LUN storage file system.

Required Skills:

1)       RHEL Linux 5.1

2)       VMWare ESXi

3)       SpaceWalk imaging (or comparable tool)

4)       ISO

5)       Jboss installation

Nice to have Skills:

SAN/NAS storage administration, Oracle database administration, Python scripting

Responsibilities:

Build out of Redhat OS on Dell Hardware.
Standalone Physical OS deployment as well as virtual via VM Ware virtualization (ESXi).
Systems administration responsibilities include: installation, backups, patch maintenance, performance tuning, hardware/software installs, de-installs, upgrades, and relocations to ensure no operational impacts occur.
Knowledge of common protocols like SMTP, SSH, SFTP, FTP, HTTP, DNS.
Working with Oracle DBA's and supporting other developers and application administrators. Troubleshooting.

#2. Linux Systems Engineer is needed immediately! Our client is located in Atlanta, GA. Our client has up to 3 openings with this same skillset. These positions are full-time/permanent.
Our client is targeting $85K + 20% cash bonus + 20% stock!
*There is a more senior level role too with similar responsibilities that will pay up to $100K + 20% cash bonus + 20% stock! (This role needs great scripting, automation, and kernel tuning)
**There is a junior level role too that will pay up to $60-66K with the same bonus and stock plan.

Role Description:

Linux Systems Engineer-
The Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining availability and high-performance in mixed UNIX and Windows development, non-production, and production environments.
This individual works as part of a results-oriented, service-delivery team and assists configuration analysts, release engineers, developers, and operations teams.
Additionally, the Systems Engineer performs root cause analysis of problems, selects and implements automation tools, and actively participates in deeply technical discourse.

Required Skills:

1)       5+ years of admin/engineering Linux

2)      Strong knowledge of automation tools such as Puppet or Cobbler for builds

3)       Advanced Unix scripting skills

Nice to have Skills:

Strong Kernel tuning is a huge plus

Responsibilities:

* Assist in the design, planning and implementation of server solutions
* Tune systems for maximum available performance
* Respond to and assist in production operations in a 24/7 environment. Evaluate, test, and integrate new operating system versions, drivers, and patches
* Provide technical analysis, resolve problems, and propose solutions
* Application support and administration for IBM Websphere MQ, SWIFT, Sterling Integrator and File Gateway, and other applications

#3. Linux Systems Engineer is needed immediately for our client located in Duluth, GA. These positions are full-time/permanent.
Our client is targeting $80-85K + bonus!

Role Description:

This person will be responsible for the Linux environment at the company which includes 100 Windows 2008 servers and 50 Linux (Redhat/CentOS) across the nation.
In the next 2-3 years they are planning on migrating all of their servers to Linux so this person will have to be open to learning Linux and supporting Linux in the future.

Required Skills:

1) Linux Engineering
2) Scripting
3)Any experience with Apache/other Webserver

Nice to have Skils:

Nice to haves:

*         ("puppet" or "chef" or "salt stack" or "Openstack")

*         Experience with Linux (Redhat/CentOS)

*         Technical certifications

*         Experience with MongoDB (and/or nosql)

*         Experience in Cloud Computing

Responsibilities:

40% Linux Services - design, planning, technical support and administration for the Linux server platforms.
60% Automation - Right now the environment is mostly manual and this person will be responsible for automating their current environment in order for routine tasks to be automated.
* Work with cutting edge technology in the cloud computing space.
* Provide Fanatical Support to our customers through your innovative solutions that create sustainable and maintainable environments.
* Work on Windows and Linux environments
* Collaborate with Engineers and System Administrators on technical issues
* Make architectural design decisions, solve technical problems, and make improvements to our systems
* Work in a DevOps environment where you will work closely with software development teams.
