We need a skilled system administrator with strong database administration
and tuning skills to add to our friendly and very talented Information
Systems (IS) team.

process financial transactions exceeding $12 trillion.


Today, Grant Street Group is a growing company providing Software as a
Service in fields such as electronic payments, auctions, and tax collection
and billing.  Our customers include banks, financial companies, and state
and local governments.

The IS team is responsible for the administration of all servers, networks,
and databases in multiple data centers and public clouds. The team oversees
information security across the technology spectrum. This position will be
involved in the day-to-day administration, diagnostics and troubleshooting
of IS resources and new IS projects.

*Required experience:*

   - Expert in Linux systems administration
      - UNIX administration experience may be substituted, but a very
      strong knowledge of Linux is required
      - Administration of medium-large data center environments
      - High-Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures
      - Performance Analysis and Tuning
      - DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, LDAP, Apache, SSL, mod_perl, SMTP, IMAP
      - Perl and shell scripting
      - RHCE certification or equivalent experience
   - Expert in MySQL database administration
      - Other RDBMS administration experience may be substituted, but
      knowledge of and experience with MySQL is required
      - High-Availability database architecture design and implementation
      - MySQL replication and backups
      - Performance analysis and tuning
      - MySQL 5.0 DBA certification or equivalent expertise
   - Excellent analytical thinking and problem solving skills
   - Excellent organizational, decision making and communications skills
   - Excellent grades and a track record of success


*Experience with any of the following is helpful:*

   - Percona Toolkit/Maatkit, Galera, Tungsten Replicator
   - Spacewalk/Satellite server, Puppet, Chef
   - AWS
   - VMWare, KVM, Xen
