Position Title: Linux DevOps Engineer
Location: Norcross
Job Duration: contract to hire or direct hire
Target Start Date: immediate need
Typical Hours: flex hours okay

Basic Qualifications:
DevOps - a linux sys admin that knows how to develop software (or the other way around)
PHP
Perl
Python
BASH
MySQL
Riak (or Mongodb or couchdb or redis ore memcached) - not a DBA per se, but someone that can work with databases
Red Hat Linux
virtualization experience (KVM, RHEV, Openstack, VMWare, etc)
Nginx or Unicorn (Or Tomcat or Jboss)
HAProxy (preference), Netscaler or F5 loadbalancers
monitoring production systems (Nagios preferred; Zabbix, ZenOSS, etc.. accepted)


Job Description:

The Linux Systems Engineer provides implementation and engineering best practices for the company's Linux platforms to ensure maximum performance, reliability and security. This person will be responsible for implementing, tuning, and maintaining the Linux platforms for mission-critical enterprise applications. Performance, system uptime, security, capacity planning and scalability are primary objectives to deliver highly available applications and sites for the business. Other responsibilities include maintenance of all hardware, middleware, and software used to service the client staff, customers, and support teams, along with the systems used for the development and deployment of Linux based Enterprise applications. The position provides technical expertise in support of all business and IT sponsored projects and provides direction, support and mentoring to other technical staff for related Linux technologies.
