Developer - Atlanta, GA - Contract

Our Atlanta, GA client is searching for a Senior Developer to develop automation software for the Process Automation Department.  The position will participate in all phases of the development process including requirements, design, development, QA and maintenance. This role is a 6 month contract need.

To qualify, you must demonstrate the ability to interface with requesting customers to assess and deliver high quality, reliable software solutions that satisfy functional requirements while also meeting performance objectives.  You must be very versatile and able to contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.  Effective communications skills are essential.  You must be able to respond to customers in a prompt and professional manner, as well as communicate requirements, designs and possible risks to other team members.  This is a position that requires a broad skill set; prior experience in telecom or networking would be valuable.
Description/Responsibilities

 *   Assisting internal customers with requirements capture that focuses on providing a solution that fulfills a business need
 *   Analysis, design and development of software components for process automation, including workflow, forecasts, utilization, and performance reports
 *   Documentation, testing and maintenance of deliverables
 *   Interaction with internal customers for requirements, user acceptance and support.
 *   Consistent and timely communication of status and concerns to management.
Qualifications/Skills

 *   Excellent analytical and communication skill
 *   Full software development life cycle
 *   Object-oriented analysis and design
 *   UNIX/Linux software development in C, Perl, and Java
 *   Familiarity with SQL, XML, HTML and SOAP
 *   Experience administering UNIX/Linux and Apache or Tomcat helpful, but not required
