We're adding a 3rd admin to our UNIX/Linux team.   You can forward your resume to me and I'll review and pass on to my manager if you seem like a good fit.  (I'm Sr. UNIX Admin.)

As usual there is a wish list of requirements shown but the main thing they want the new person to have is experience maintaining/tuning web applications especially Jboss and Apache.   (I know that CUPS isn't really a web application - I didn't write the description and it is not a major portion of the job.)

Most of what we have now is RHEL5 or RHEL6 though we do still have some HP-UX.

Sr. Linux Administrator

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior Linux Administrator will be working in a team of administrators who are responsible for supporting and maintaining all Linux and UNIX servers, tape/disk backups, enterprise printing, DNS,  third and final level of Linux/UNIX support here at DS Waters. This positions primary focus will be Linux application support and tuning including but not limited to JBoss, Apache, Django, Drupal, Python, Slapd. CUPS.  Ancillary functions include server tuning, setup and support and general server level support as detailed below.

* Strong JBoss & Apache tuning & troubleshooting skills
* Third level support for various Linux applications including but not limited to JBoss, Apache, Django, Drupal, Python, Slapd & CUPS
* Knowledge of Subversion/Git & PostGreSQL
* OS installation/technical and administrative support Linux (RHEL 5 & up) servers on Dell PowerEdge hardware
* Linux server OS hardening & work with network security to ensure system integrity & data control
* Final (3rd) level of Linux support
* Sendmail management
* WWW DNS record maintenance
* Maintenance and support of Nagios enterprise server monitoring system
* Hitachi Disk Array (VSP) storage management (perf. tuning, shadow images, cloning, dev instance refresh)
* Symantec/Veritas NetBackup 7.1 administration (media servers, i6000 tape library, DXi deduplication)
* Cisco SAN (DS-C9513) management
* Use of enterprise issue tracking system to track all issues and requests
* Design/setup/configuration documentation
* Change management tracking
* Responsible for SFTP, Lockbox, and EDI business assistance
* On call rotation for off-hour production assistance
* In-office schedule Monday-Friday (8 hrs/day), time variable to need and agreement
* Provides assistance in other I.T. functionality as instructed by Manager, Systems Administration / Director, Technology Services / CIO.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
* 5+ years Linux administration in a high availability data center environment
* Application Tuning - JBoss & Apache Tuning troubleshooting required
* Software - JBoss, Apache, Django, Drupal, Python, Slapd, Subversion/Git, Symantec/Veritas Netbackup, DNS, Sendmail, SFTP, EDI, CUPS
* LAN/WAN troubleshooting skills relative to Linux communications through routers, switches and firewalls
* Hardware - Hitachi disk arrays, Dell PowerEdge, Quantum deduplication, Quantum tape libraries
* Proficient with Microsoft Office products
* Proficient project management skills
