I was contacted by a technical recruiter for a job as a Linux Platform
Engineer. Below is the description of the job as it was described to me:

For the role I was contacting you about, it is a very complex role.  They
call it a Linux Platform Engineer, but what they really want is someone
with Linux, Ruby and/or Python, maybe some Java/OOP development experience,
database background, almost like a Dev Ops Engineer, who has touched on a
bit of everything.  The client is re-building their platform and needs some
SMART engineers to help do it.  Let me know if you know any Linux/Dev Ops
guys, I would have a lot of opportunities for them!
