We are looking for a smart individual to join an exceptional team in a Sys Admin capacity. In this role, you will have the opportunity to handle/learn all aspects of running the system in the cloud including monitoring, backup/recovery, troubleshooting, capacity planning, patching and security. This is a tremendous opportunity to work on interesting technical challenges in an Amazon Web Services Mongo DB, MySQL, Linux (Debian/Ubuntu), Apache, Java environment. Additionally, you will be involved in system design and physical architecture.
We are looking for someone who enjoys learning and diving into technical issues/ identifying solutions. Strong Linux (ideally Debian/Ubuntu) skills are an absolute must with experience in configuring and running DNS/bind, Apache, MySQL, SSH, SFTP. A good grasp of network fundamentals and strong scripting skills (bash) are required. Experience with Amazon Web Services(EC2, S3) and Java (JVM tuning) are highly desirable. Short of that, you will work with a brilliant team and will have the opportunity to learn.
