*Job Description:*

This role is responsible for the building, deploying, and support of IBM
AIX systems including virtual hosts and partitions. This role will serve as
a technical implementer and support person for the technologies utilized on
the enterprise AIX server environment. This includes all aspects of server
management, including building and deploying servers, allocating virtual
resources, evaluating performance problems, testing and implementing
technologies, and consulting with application customers. This person should
be able to work independently including identifying the tasks and
activities that need to be performed. This person should be able to perform
medium to large projects without significant supervision. Providing project
leadership of technical teams to ensure support of systems, configuration
and installation of hardware, software and other components may be required.

Minimum Required:

   -

   BA in CIS or Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Minimum Required:

   -

   3-5 years of experience in this role and 10+ years of Unix midrange
   experience.

Specific skills

   -

   Excellent knowledge of IBM AIX 5.3 and 6.1
    -

   Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, Power VM, Power HA, NFS, SAN,
   NIM, and general networking concepts
    -

   Excellent knowledge of all aspects of AIX and SAN virtualization
   technologies.
    -

   Excellent knowledge of high availability architectures, including Power
   HA
    -

   Excellent knowledge of AIX management tools such as NIM, IBM System
   Director, monitoring, and backup and recovery.
    -

   Proficiency in Korn Shell scripting
    -

   Possesses the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to
   all levels of management, customers, and peers.
    -

   Self-motivated, team player
