Linux Platform Engineer/Programmer

Seeking a talented Linux Engineer with scripting abilities. This is a great opportunity with a company involved in cutting-edge software solutions. This firm has a small-company, startup feel.

Most of the Linux involved is Red Hat.

Must-have:

*         In-depth Linux system administration experience

o    Building RPM and DPKG packages

o    Managing YUM and APT package repositories

*         Strong MySQL user skills

*         Efficient queries against multiple tables

o    Index management

o    Query planning and debugging (EXPLAIN)

*         Git and Github experience

*         Forking, branching, merging, rebasing

Nice to have:

*         In-depth TCP/IP networking experience

o    OpenVPN

o    Load balancing

o    Traffic Shaping

*         Experience with Ruby and Rails

*         Experience with Java and Tomcat
