*Software Engineer in Test*



Vocalocity, a leading provider of cloud-based business phone systems, is
seeking a motivated software engineer to join the core development team
based in Atlanta, GA. The successful candidate is responsible for
developing and maintaining programming based simulation and test
environments used to test and verify Vocalocity’s software products that
are of the highest quality in terms of functionality, performance and
reliability, and expected to demonstrate creativity and initiative, and
must be self-motivating with ability to work independently. The candidate
must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment in a rapidly
growing start-up company.



*Responsibilities:*

•     Develop and maintain automated test tools for use by all engineers in
the automated verification of software.

•     Maintain and enhance an automated test suite used to regress a fully
featured phone system.

•     Create best practices guidelines for how to test different types of
systems and software.

•     Work with QA Engineers, Development and Product Management to define
feature test requirements and use cases

•     Document quality assurance practices

•     Defect reporting and tracking



*Qualifications:*

•     BS in Computer Sciences/Engineering or equivalent experience with minimum
of five years of experience in software development or test automation.

•     Experience with scripting languages and automation tools; ability to
create software test systems.

•     Java, Javascript programming experience required.

•     Ruby, Groovy and Scala are pluses.

•     Linux/Unix OS systems and network administration experience is a
strong plus.

•     Experience with database administration and SQL scripting is a plus.

•     Experience in testing and troubleshooting IP, VoIP, SIP is a plus.

•     Solid understanding of quality assurance process and
methodologies, *experience
with* *Agile*/Scrum is a plus.

•     Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

•     Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
