We are a progressive, international technology firm focused in the education market based in the Perimeter area of North Atlanta.  We are seeking a talented Linux system administrator with a strong desire to learn and perform. This is a mid-level Linux system administrator position in a flagship enterprise datacenter with an opportunity to learn many other skills and be exposed to a wealth of great technologies.  Primary responsibilities include Linux system administration, staging and deployment of new services in virtual environments in a 24X7 Internet and hosted applications services datacenter.
The Systems Administrator develops, maintains and supports our technical infrastructure, hardware, and system software components for moderately complex projects. Performs configuration, debugging and support for multiple infrastructure platforms. Performs root cause analysis for service interruption recovery; create preventative measures and present to management. Interface with business stakeholders on complex projects.
Ours is a fast paced environment that requires excellent technical and troubleshooting skills with a positive and professional attitude. Professional qualifications include:

-       Installation and configuration of Linux servers

-        Ability to support production environments

-       Understanding of networking concepts as they apply in an enterprise-class datacenter

-       Skilled with RedHat Enterprise Linux

-        Knowledge of web server technologies (Apache, PHP) a must

-        VMware vSphere 4.1 highly desirable

-        General Windows admin experience desired

-        Strong interpersonal and communications skills
 Requirements:

-        Five or more years of Linux system administration

-        Ability to set and maintain priorities in a multi-tasking environment

-        Excellent communications skills – both verbal and written

-        Some flexibility with work hours
Desirable:

-        Windows system administration experience

-        MCSE

-        VCP
