*Job Summary*:



The IT Manager develops, plans, and implements the overall strategic goals
of Vocalocity’s IT infrastructure. Evaluates and recommends changes to
current and future network / server requirements to meet the organization's
needs. Leads the IT Department to assist Vocalocity employees with IT
requests / issues. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish
goals. The IT Manager will report to the VP Operations.



*Responsibilities**:*

§  Leads small team of IT Specialists in support of management of IT
services for growing tech start-up.

§  Installs and repairs computers with standardized applications and
networking software, diagnosing and solving problems that develop in their
operation.

§  Responds to user questions and explain the operation of network
applications and equipment.

§  Responsible for the provision of IT infrastructure services including
laptop applications.

§  Ensures maximum availability of laptop computers for Vocalocity employees
or contractors.

§  Responsible for IT hardware, software and maintenance procurement and
general budget management.

§  Performs a variety of technical tasks in the installation, diagnosis,
repair and maintenance of servers, laptops, network hardware and
applications.

§  Maintains relationships with SaaS providers.  Configures and manages
cloud-based applications.

§  Oversees the network stability of the office, monitoring and managing
multiple ISP circuits.

§  Installs, operates and maintains network services, routers, switches, and
VOIP devices.

§  Resolves network communications problems to ensure user’s access to
networks.

§  Carries out regular maintenance on all IT hardware and asset management
(hardware and software).

§  Develops and maintains a disaster recovery plan.

§  Develops and controls the IT security policy.

§  Maintains accurate and current records on repair, installation and
removal of equipment; provide appropriate logging and tracking of hardware
malfunctions.

§  Recommends improvements to operating procedures; writes and maintains
procedure manuals.

*Requirements**:*

   - Minimum 4 years directly related experience
   - Bachelor’s degree in IT / Computer Science
   - Professional certification and/or proven experience in networking
   installation, operations and troubleshooting
   - Experience with Windows 2008 R2 / Windows 7 Active Directory system
   - Proven experience managing an IT department
   - Experience in IT infrastructure planning and development
   - Strong leadership skills
   - Proficiency in computer networks, network administration and network
   installation
   - Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2007 / 2010 products, hosted email and
   back up
   - Intermediate to advanced knowledge on Cisco routers (1812 / 2811) and
   switches (2960). Able to troubleshoot routing, switching, NAT, or VLAN
   issues.
   - Strong troubleshooting ability
