Contract-to-hire






Minimum 1 year 





Responsible for:
- Executing tests for software releases in our complex environments
- Characterizing problems found, reporting them to development through Clarify, and working with development engineers to demonstrate, replicate, and troubleshoot
- Documenting test results
- Understanding our existing systems, their compatibility issues, and interactions with various other components


- Learning new product specifications and how they interact with our existing systems.
- Paying attention to details, while under tight deadlines
- Supporting beta trials and initial field deployments, some travel required
- Developing and cultivating good working relationships with client associates in all areas
- Proactively and regularly providing status updates

Expected to:
- Apply education, experience, and skills to quickly and be a valued contributor
- Become a “go-to” engineer that others seek knowledge from
- Demonstrate initiative and creativity in troubleshooting, documenting, communicating issues, and resolving problems. Find ways to improve our testing, plans, and processes
- Continually learn and teach others.

Overall years of Experience Required: Bachelor degree or equivalent experience. Prefer bachelor degree and 3 -5 years of experience.

Minimum Required Education: BSEE, BSCS, bachelor degree in a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills:
• Strong interpersonal and customer relationship management skills
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Unix skills
• TCP/IP networking experience

Preferred Experience:
• Software Testing, Systems Testing, or Technical Support 
• Experience with test planning and bug tracking systems
• Understanding of the software development life cycle
• Digital Broadband Cable systems, Set top cables systems, IP networking/Data Comm., Telecommunications, RF, Satellite, and Antenna systems/equipment
• Knowledge of CATV or IPTV headend architectures
• DNCS(Cisco) and DAC(Motorola) experience preferred
