I came across your resume and wanted to reach out to you regarding an
immediate job opportunity in the Atlanta area with one of our major

  *Job Description:*  They will spend the majority of their time:
Service desk function – someone calls in with a problem and they manage the
incidence or outage. Another component that if you have enough of the same
items, it becomes a problem. Problem becomes categorized and must find a
resolution. In addition, they will be involved in Change Management. Make
improvement to systems and installing patches, upgrade for performance,
improve overall function and availability. They will be implementing
requests for change (ITIL term RFC’s). Another part of their day will be
spent installing patches into NetApp, Tomcat…etc…. Another area is PCI
compliance. A report is run every thirty days to resolve their problems. A
big list is generated for the vulnerabilities and on down time they will be
asked to work on that list.  *Additional Job Info: *  Another area they will
be involved with is OAT or operational acceptance testing. Data Center can
accept or reject new releases. So they will be able to see new systems, new
applications, architectures and get on the front end what SITA is looking to
do. Interact with the team that builds the solutions. 99.94 availability is
the goal. So this team ultimately is looking to prevent outages and
problems. They will also spend their time providing proactive monitoring and
closing gaps. The gaps being a problem in one areas causing incidents. So
they will fill the gap to solve all problems.

patch mgmt issue, put in patches, patch red hat, tomcat, etc.. b/c of PCI
standards.  infrastructure must be scanned every 30 days…every 30 days sheet
of scenarios must be patched.  implement patches.  vulnerabilities 100s,
1000s of servers must be patched.  OAT – operational acceptance testing –
anytime a new system is built by the build team, data center has to accept
it, so its run through this test—release mgmt.  team sees new
systems/apps/architecture, get on the front end.  talk to build team,
interact w/ teams working on documentation, getting ops procedures into
place.  availability mgmt –proactive monitoring, closing gaps everything
ties together.  now at 99.94% availability.  KPI -- Time to Restore.  w/i 2
hours of an outage.  restarting services to restore network connectivity.
interplay between the apps.  network goes down and then it goes downstream
to the app tier, web tier, middleware tier.  respond to outages that dictate
analysis and restart of services.
