1. Unix Engineer (Red Hat) 5+ Openings - Perm - Alpharetta



Responsibilities:

*         Plan, execute and document deployment projects to deliver pre-production and production environment (servers, applications and tools) including major configuration changes

*         Review the solution requirements & documentation

*         Establish connectivity, configure gateway, and validate end to end solution

*         Provide Operational test plan

*         Ensure smooth handoff to operations group (training and documentation)

*         Offer various level of technical support to sales, product management, professional services & requirement specialist

*         Proactively raise flag when issues/request are preventing the delivery dates to be met, need support on dependencies



Qualifications



Qualifications & Skills:

*            5+ years of experience large scale Linux environment containing 200+ servers.

*            Experience with system / network architecture, troubleshooting and script programming

*            Environment has experienced 200% growth in the last year with more to come. Extensive automation experience is necessary for Linux deployments.

*            Experience working with multiple data centers in distributed locations.

*            Utilization of Satellite or other content / patch distribution servers.

*            Experience of unified authentication utilizing Active Directory, LDAP or Centrify.

*            Excellent communication skills, experience in dealing with customer issues under time pressure

*            Experience with large deployments in a telecommunications environment

*            Familiar with Oracle and other SQL DB

*            Experience in routing and internet protocols, LAN/WAN technologies, VPN, Firewall, and Security

*            Familiarity with standard Internet chat and Instant Message protocols, connectivity, and troubleshooting.

*            Strong background in methodical troubleshooting and problem solving.

*            Experience in managing small to medium size project

*            Strong command of the English language.

*            Experience in routing and internet protocols, LAN/WAN technologies, VPN, Firewall, and Security

*            Familiarity with standard Internet Email protocols, connectivity, and troubleshooting.

*            Strong background in methodical troubleshooting and problem solving.

*            Experience in managing small to medium size project

*            Strong command of the English language.

*            Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Sciences or MIS or equivalent experience



2. Solaris Admin - Contract to Perm - Dunwoody
They are expanding their network so that's why they are hiring.  This is 24/7 on call there are 3 people on call, but they do not have a set rotation pattern.  They must have worked in a Java environment and web hosting environment.  Familiar with application administration (Tomcat/Apache), Load balance, storage, and firewall policies.
Job Description:
* Administer, secure, and support mission-critical 24/7 systems to ensure system serviceability and stability.
* Perform day-to-day operation/monitoring/maintenance for IT infrastructure (system and network).
* Monitor error and informational log files, analyze, and solve problems that may occur.
* Responsible for system testing / software testing as it relates to system/network performance and reliability.
* Participate as senior team member in critical technical design reviews to ensure all requirements and resources are defined in support of quality products and features.
* Implement system and network infrastructure to support all company products.
* Develop UNIX/Shell/CGI/Perl scripts to help/automate administration tasks.
* Provide systems/network expertise for Java-based application development teams.
* Lead or be part of the team to perform technology improvement projects.

Required Experience:
* 5+ years of implementing and administering UNIX based systems with a focus on Linux or SUN Solaris.
* Thorough hands-on knowledge and understanding of hardware configuration.
* Hands-on knowledge of VLAN, TCP/IP, DNS, ACLs.
* Hands-on knowledge of NFS, QMAIL/SENDMAIL, SSH and scripting mechanisms using Perl or Shell scripting.
* Clustering & High-availability design and implementation experience with Veritas Cluster Server or equivalent.
* Experience with high-end storage devices and platforms: EMC, Netapp or equivalent.
* Experience with any monitoring tools for performance measurement and availability such as Mercury Sitescope.
* Hands-on experience with the design and implementation of backup and recovery mechanisms is a must. Experience with DR is a plus.
* Understanding of High Availability, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery concepts as they relate to Open Systems architecture.
* Familiarity with J2EE, Tomcat and JVM tuning and familiarity with Oracle is a plus.

3. Unix Admin - Contract to Perm - Downtown
Job Description

The candidate will be part of a team who maintains service 24/7/365 where the standard is that sites download fast and are always available for a network of 110 or more major media brand websites and associated systems.  The candidate will be responsible for maintaining physical infrastructure and supporting software integration in all phases of the development and production cycle.

Responsibilities

*         Designs and uses monitoring tools to proactively maintain hundreds of servers and network appliances.

*         Backs up file systems and plans for disaster recovery

*         Evaluates systems specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility

*         Designs and codes small applications to support infrastructure (customer monitoring scripts,  system administration automation, admin CGI scripts)

*         Troubleshoots networking, application, and operating system problems

*         Responds to alerts or problems by following appropriate problem management procedures.

*         Diagnoses and resolves moderate to complex technical problems in one or more operating system environments, network devices and multiple database environments.

*         Works with other teams to assist in the implementation of moderate to complex system software changes and is able to perform some aspects of upgrade independently.

*         Prepares system change management plans, writes technical documentation and procedures

*         Maintains internal and customer access privileges and passwords.

*         Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

*         Web hosting environment (highly preferred), ISP systems administration

*         Perl, shell or other system programming

*         Apache implementation, tuning and customization

*         Solaris and Linux administration

*         Netapp storage administration  (preferred)

*         BEA Weblogic Application Server, Jboss, TomCat and Resin application server maintenance and administration

*         Experience with python/Django administration/architecture a plus

*         Experience with virtualization (VMWare/Xen) a plus.

*         Familiarity with supporting database servers (Oracle, MySQL, or, Postgres) in a high-availability high-performance clustered environment.

4. Unix Support Engineer - Contract to Perm - Norcross
Contract to Permanent position in Norcross available for an individual that has 1+ years of Linux experience!
Job Description:
In this role, you will work on a team that is responsible for administering large-scale production Redhat and CentOS Linux systems. You*ll be writing scripts, verifying data loads, installing and configuring UNIX systems, setting up automated monitoring systems, and automated management.

This resource serves as the 1st tier of support of several web servers dedicated to public facing high traffic website.

We are seeking a candidate with the following:

*         2+ years of IT industry experience

*         1+ years of Linux server support and/or administration

*         Experience supporting MySQL or SQL Server databases

*         Perl, Python, or Unix Shell Scripting experience

*         Familiar with remote server management (Dell OpenManage or HP Insight Control)

*         Strong ability to troubleshoot complex production environments
