The Tarleton Research Group at the University of Georgia in Athens is  
seeking to fill a full-time research position.

Posting Number 20091156 – Scientific Computing Professional Principal.  
The role of the Scientific Computing Professional Principal is that of  
a Computational Biologist. As such, the position requires a background  
in Computer Science and some knowledge of Biological Sciences (or  
related fields). Requires proficiency with Java, Perl, Linux OS, PHP,  
HTML, MySQL. The primary responsibilities of the SCPP are to conduct  
bioinformatics based research in the area of human pathogens, in  
particular the protozoan parasite Trypanosoma cruzi, and to  
participate in collaborative research with other scientists,  
critically analyze the results or experiments, and to evaluate, modify  
and/or create new computer programs to assist this research. Salary  
range $36,000 – $89,320.
