The People Network is working closely with the Services division of this great organization to reflect a strategic emphasis on developing and growing our consumer Internet services as well as developing new enterprise solutions and software. Our client’s services encompass five areas: Music, Games, Media, Social Location and Messaging. 　

The Services division also encompasses several sub-units: People and Places, Services Platforms, Service Experience, and Strategy & New Business. In addition Services works closely with the marketing and sales functions to create maximum consumer awareness and top line growth of the services.

As a trusted partner, we are seeking EXPERT LEVEL LINUX Engineers to join our client as a permanent employee within the Service Operations Center at our client’s location in northern Atlanta. The Deployment Engineers will plan, execute and document deployment projects to deliver pre-production and production environment (servers, applications and tools) including major configuration changes.

Duties:

		Review solution requirements and documentation

		Establish connectivity, configure gateway, and validate end to end solution

		Provide Operational test plan

		Ensure smooth handoff to operations team

		Offer various levels of technical support to sales, product management, professional services and requiremn6t specialist

		Proactively raise flag when issues/requirements are preventing the delivery dates to be met, need support on dependencies

Qualifications/ Skills

		Bachelor Degree is preferred- Engineering or Computer Sciences

		5 years experience in similar position with hands-on knowledge of LINUX and other flavors of UNIX environments

		System and Network Architecture, troubleshooting and script programming is a must have. (Perl or Shell or Bash or Python) with Python preferred

		Experience with mobile networks and wireless protocols

		Must have large deployment experience (telecommunications environment highly preferred)

		Familiar with Oracle and SQL databases

		Experience routing and internet protocols, LAN/WAN technologies, VPN, Firewall security

		Familiar with standard Internet Email Protocols, connectivity and troubleshooting

		 SOC Engineer- Linux Focus 

		Payrate: 70-75k plus bonus – some flexibility 

		Location: Alpharetta, GA Travel: Need to be comfortable with possible travel to Montreal—open to shift work- but plan 1st shift!

		2-4+ years LINUX Administration

		A solid understanding and mid level experience with the following:

		*SNMP

		*SQL and/or Perl scripting skill.

		General knowledge of databases and how to extract stored information (e.g. stored procedures, triggers).

		General RDBMS theory

		Microsoft SQL Server administration

		Oracle Server administration

		Windows networking and administration

		Microsoft Exchange administration

		Lotus Domino administration

		Network infrastructure and install

		Large scale deployment, monitoring, and administration
