12-month contract project in Millington, Tenn. You shall be permitted to
tele-work, provided you are willing to travel on-site upon request.   The

POSITION SUMMARY:   ***The contract employee shall be permitted to

Need of someone with strong ASP.net skills.
 
SCOPE:  
The contract employee (computer programmer) is expected to work directly
with NPRST research staff to develop the software code for the
implementation of the Promotion Calculator for Reserve Officers. NPRST staff
and the Reserve Officer workforce planners will be responsible for testing
and evaluating the program's operational performance. The contract employee
(computer programmer) is expected to work directly with NPRST research staff
to develop the software code.
The code needs to be developed in an ASP.NET (Microsoft) language, i.e., VB,
C-Sharp, C++, etc. 

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: 
Develop PCRO Application - The contract employee will write the necessary
software code to process the selection and promotion of Reserve Officers to
competitive paygrades: LCDR, CDR, CAPT and CWO.
 
Prepare data - The contract employee will write the necessary software code
to extract and upload Officer personnel data from the monthly Officer Master
File (OMF).
 
Design and Implement GUI and reports - The contract employee will implement
a very user-friendly interface, similar to the active duty tool and as
directed by NPRST staff and the Officer workforce planners. 
 
Incremental demos and incorporation of feedback - The contract employee will
be required to:  implement initial designs, participate in periodic meetings
with NPRST staff and Officer workforce planners to review versions of the
application. Feedback from these meeting must be incorporated into future
versions of the tool.
 
Deploy - The contract employee will be required to install, perform initial
testing, and validate the user interface and reports on deployment equipment
(provided by NPRST and/or Officer workforce planners
