I wanted to thank you first for accepting me into this group. I was actually referred by a member and he suggest that I submit opportunities to the network. Ultimately my job is to find mutual fits for candidates and clients. I not the recruiter that is going to force feed a job that I have because all I see is dollar signs. I find it is most beneficial for me to actually take the time up front get a true understanding of what the individual needs of my candidates are and pair them with like minded corporations. I know recruiters don't have the best reputation and I bet every person in this group has a horror story they can tell. Hopefully I can dispel myself from those guys and provide a true service to facilitating your job search. Systems Engineer-Norcross, GA-Contract to Perm

OS: Solaris, RHEL, CentOS
Ideal candidates should have experience designing and building high availability hosting environments. Candidates must have heavy Unix Scripting and prior experience supporting large scale websites. You will be responsible for the design and administration of a large Web Server environment. Prior ISP or corporate Web hosting experience is a plus.

This position has responsibility for the continuous operation of systems that support a well-known customer-facing website.

Qualifications:
-5+ years of systems engineering experience in Linux environment
-3+ years of Web hosting experience
-Strong Scripting experience (PHP, Perl, UNIX)
-Experience with Load Balancers and Web Servers
-Experience with Web based tools and concepts

Unix Systems Engineer-Dunwoody, GA-Contract to Perm
85-100k
OS: Solaris, RHEL, CentOS, SUSE

*         Design clustered web application systems using SUSE and Red Hat enterprise Linux, Apache, Tomcat, Perl, Bash and F5 Load Balancers utilizing NFS based enterprise storage solutions.

*         Author complex PERL and BASH scripts to automate administration and monitoring of 800+ Linux systems. Script and automating routine tasks, evaluate security, perform code releases.

*         Designed custom ramdisk based Linux distribution & designed hardware specs for media streaming appliance. Project managed the rollout of 800+ of the devices to sites in the United States, Canada, Australia, UK, Germany, China, and UAE.

*         Personally travelled to sites in China as well as many locations throughout the United States to implement UNIX based internet broadcast infrastructures while utilizing emerging technology.

*         Work closely with Java developers to deploy code, test applications, and troubleshoot major enterprise incidents.

*         Develop, maintain, and implement capacity growth plans for clustered web application, media delivery, and broadcast systems utilizing Red Hat and SUSE.

*         Implement security protocols, optimized performance and maintained system stability.

*         Designed solutions to lower hardware costs, including satellite uplink based internet broadcast systems, solid state systems, and custom Linux distributions

Systems Engineer (Application Server Expertise), Contract-12 months plus
45-55/hr
OS: RHEL, Solaris
Responsibilities include:

 *   Administration of enterprise Linux and Solaris 10 servers
 *   Supporting servers that host production web applications.
 *   Supporting development environments.
 *   Performance tuning.

Skills Required:

 *   5 years of Linux and Solaris administration in 24/7 web hosting environment
 *   Experience with installing, managing and troubleshooting Linux hosts and enterprise application servers including Resin, Weblogic, Websphere, Jboss, and ATG Dynamo
 *   Scripting experience (Perl, Bash, etc)
 *   Experience with the management of network related services (smtp, dns, ssh, http, https)
 *   JVM tuning skills
 *   Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
 *   Strong organizational and communication skills

Skills that would be helpful to have:

 *   Experience with Resin servlet container is a plus
 *   Experience with supporting Java web applications in a Linux environment is a plus
