Good Morning,

Currently have another opportunity available here in Atlanta. This role is going to be extremely pivotal position with an Industry Leader. The person that takes this role will not only be responsible for maintaining the uptime for a large transactional revenue generating system, but they will also be responsible for creating new designs for existing systems, plus creating the plans for integrating the systems of companies that have been acquired. The management style for this company is extremely flat you will serve in a pseudo management type position where you are providing mentoring, making recommendations on hardware/software, and interacting with vendors. This chair reports directly to the Director level so there isn't a lot of red tape.

The day to day duties are going to be split heavily between day to day administration and special projects. They currently run Solaris 10 and recently upgraded to Oracle 11g. This person will also focus heavily on SAN/NAS storage from the systems side, Oracle performance as it relates to the systems, DNS, and Sendmail. The environment also includes HP-UX and Windows. There are resources dedicated to these systems, but any experience with each is extremely valuable.

Solaris Admin

Responsible for selecting hardware, setting up Solaris 10, VERITAS Volume Manager, and Oracle Application Server, and migrating data
Architect/Maintain NetBackup 6.5.4 solution for UNIX and Windows to protect against any potential loss of data
Mentor junior UNIX system administrators
Maintain Big Brother Professional to monitor all UNIX servers, both production and non-production to provide faster response on server issues
Create/Maintain Perl utility to monitor performance and reduce bottlenecks
Oversee RHEL-based DNS solution
Oversee a RHEL-based external mail relay
Maintain DMZ environment
Write custom shell scripts to import data

HP-UX is a plus
