<html><body><span style="font-family:Verdana; color:#000000; font-size:10pt;"><div>Yeah, but Verizon makes up for it by having really expensive plans to using the same phone in Europe... *8-) But, I understand their phones are unlocked for international use, so you can buy a SIM card at the airport when you land. </div><div><br></div><div>But seriously folks.... Verizon seems to have a tower pretty much everywhere. We were camped in Humbolt state park 100 miles north of San Francisco, amongst the redwoods, and there ain't NOTHING around this park. No gas stations, no stores, no convenience stores, no houses. And we have a 4-bar Verizon signal. </div><div><br></div><div>In aggregate terms, one suspects that European carriers have far fewer towers to maintain. </div><div><br></div><div>I actually USED TO have an unlimited Verizon plan, but never did use enough of it to justify keeping it. They have gotten increasingly more reasonable - I guess my many years of complaining to them as both our children and my wife left them for Ting. </div><div> </div><div><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 10pt;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family: verdana; font-size: 10pt;">-------- Original Message --------</span></div><blockquote id="replyBlockquote" webmail="1" style="border-left: 2px solid blue; margin-left: 8px; padding-left: 8px; font-size:10pt; color:black; font-family:verdana;"><div id="wmQuoteWrapper">
