1. In order to avoid schedule issues with Thanksgiving, ALE Central meetings will be held on the third Tuesday of each month beginning with the March meeting.<br>

Preston Ladd is a current DM member and key holder. Phil Turmel is looking to join as well. Between those two ALE should have hosts set up. I look forward to the knowledge exchange between alers and all the cool makers at DM! They had a Lego build night last night which Preston was at. I'm sure that was much fun!<br>

As part of this transition, the ALE server will also get a new prime admin. Robert Tweedy will take the reins of the server. I will coordinate with him and our hosting provider to get the new server setup, migrate the history of the web and mailing list spaces and help on the back end as needed. <br>
<br>
Many, many thanks to the great people from Xilogic for their support over the past, wow!, nearly 10 years. As part of the server change, we will finally update the <a href="http://ale.org" target="_blank">ale.org</a> website to reflect the new name of Xilogic after their merger several years ago. My apologies for the delay.<br>
<br>
Mark Ulmer has expressed an interest in doing some publicity work for ALE. Hopefully that will make getting speakers easier. <br>
<br>
JD is handling LPI training at KSU as well as meetings every Sunday at Harrys Pizza for hands-on how-to Linux help. <br>
<br>
ALE-NE is still working on logistics for a location. <br>
<br>
ALE-SW meets with Phil Turmel and has a small but steady group.<br>
<br>
The ALE meetup has a ridiculous head count, over 900, costs $90 every 6 months, and has generated several new people that attend meetings often. Need to generate a script that can automatically send mailing list traffic to meetup members. <br>
<br>
I expect that by April, all aspects of ALE that I'm currently responsible for will be under new and very capable hands. Thanks to everyone who has volunteered their time to take a role as Linux moves into it's 26th year and ALE into it's 23rd year. It's also been nearly 19 years since my first post on ALE.<br>
