However, we do meet every Sunday near I-285 and Powers Ferry Road and
happily help people install Linux there.

a) If someone else would like to take on the planning and execution of a
formal 6th Annual InstallFest, I'm willing to help.

b) If others want a little help getting a new system installed, contact
me off-list and we'll figure out the best way to make it happen. Also,
coming to almost any Sunday ALE meetup
http://www.meetup.com/ALE-Atlanta-Linux-Enthusiasts/ will get the
process started. Advanced notice is very helpful, but not required.
Realistically, only 2 installations a week can be handled.

The last InstallFest website is still up: if.jdpfu.com - which has
useful information - especially for pre-preparation. Only the distro
releases would be different. There aren't any ISOs and some of the links
aren't live, but the info is all there. Bring boot media (empty 4G-32G
flash drive) and the distro to be installed on your hardware.

Some swag from 2016 SELF, including stickers, distro DVDs, etc. is
available. I don't bring it to every meeting, so please provide advanced
notice if installations will be happening.

If you have friends that aren't in ALE who might be interested in
getting started with Linux, the Sunday meetings are very new-user
friendly. Come, ask questions, see what Linux looks like running on some
different hardware with different GUIs. The times and dates are on the
meetup site.
