didn’t “invent” anything including DOS or Windows. He
bought DOS from someone else to resell to IBM. Windows was
the result of IBM and Microsoft starting a project to do GUI
to compete with Apple (who also didn’t invent GUI – Xerox
did). IBM and Microsoft had a parting of the ways with
lawsuits and recriminations but the end results were IBM did
OS/2 and MS did Windows. Since Windows like DOS ran on
multiple vendors’ PCs it took off better than OS/2. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
