Yeah, that was what I was after, since Fedora Core 1 I never had to do that to get a server back. <BR>

turns out /var/log/messages got filled up with this glop below, and that was end of game. Removed that and it's running now. <BR>

Short of building a Knoppix CD or some other means of booting off of CD, is there a boot sequence that will just give me a root shell so I can clean out the / filesystem? This is a pretty stock Centos 6 install with mirrored drives.
