</span>We have a couple of Mathematics Professors at Clayton State that are doing<br>
parallel numerical computation using a Pi cluster. IIRC they are using<br>
Python and MPI. A tutorial on how to install and use can be found here:<br>

</span>For 4 nodes, probably not. A small switching router should be able to<br>
handle 4-8 wired connections.<br>
<br>
Much bigger than that, then the bigger problems are wiring power and<br>
communications.<br>
