I want to help out in linux install fests, especially Ubuntu... and help people get into this.<br></blockquote><div><br><br>Some folks say that Google and Ubuntu killed the InstallFest: Ubuntu makes the install nearly trivial, and Google provides info on the odd hang-up encountered. <br><br></div><div>I somewhat agree; however, there is still plenty of room for niche-focused install fests, and/or special project and performance tuning events.<br><br></div><div>Ex:<br></div><div>Embedded device installations -- aren't always easy as Raspberry Pi.<br></div><div>Howto properly dual boot with EUFI<br></div><div>Best method(s) to virtualize your box.<br>PBX installs.<br></div><div>Home Automation seems to be the rage ... again.<br></div><div>Automated home brewing systems.<br></div><div><br></div><div>And remember... Geeks adopt almost any geeky reason to to get together.
