The desktop concept as a place to store crap has been dropped. Take all the<br>

That said, there _is_ a way to display your ~/Desktop folder on the<br>
desktop: install gnome tweak tool and enable the option through Gnome Tweak<br>
Tool -> Desktop -> Have File Manager Handle the Desktop.<br>

Those are for Fedora 19. Not sure if gnome-tweak-tool exists for CentOS7<br>
yet.<br>
