<p dir="ltr">Yep. LTO6 tape library uses dual SAS drives. SCSI is dead. I can do multipath for control but not data to tape. The each have their own 4 lane SAS connection. The control is for the changer.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I see what you're saying. I have 2 different controller cards however. One is a RAID the other is an HBA. But they both use the same driver. I have software that lets me control the RAID array through the card but an HBA is "dumb" of sorts.
It's best to disconnect the HBA from the tape system before powering down the tape system but I don't think I can do that without unloading the kernel module which will force a disconnect from the RAID array (so I may as well power down the entire system -
grr).<u></u><u></u></p>

that was more a view than a way to manipulate layout.</span><u></u><u></u></p>
