Presently I don't think I have any interest or need to transfer
files through ssh but that could change in the future. Now that I
think of it, very near future, so any input in this area might
come in handy as well. Thanks for the suggestions so far.<br>

I've been using ConnectBot for a long time (very light
usage, though).<br>
I'll have to give Terminal-IDE a try.<br>
