<div>They just bump up the limit whenever early Mickey Mouse
copyrights get close to expiring. I believe they're at 95 years
now, which is more than long enough to take care of the
authors/creators for their lifetimes assuming they're not small
children when they create the copyrighted works. <br>

It started out as a patch addon to speed up BB,
back in the days when BB was not quite free
software but did provide source code. After Quest
closed the BB source (even for paid licensees such
as yours truly who were running it on hardware
they refused to provide binaries for --way to
honor that license, Quest!) hobbit evolved into
its own thing and most of the developer community
around BB went with it. Then the Tolkien family
came after it, so now it's Xymon....</p>

how much I dislike the product,
the layout of the alerting, the
lack of a comprehensive, easy to
see and understand dashboard with
easily managed/administered
acknowledgements, mobile
accessibility, automation,
escalation paging… you name it.<br>

Now, before you freak out, I know
it's all in there, but I
personally find it markedly
difficult to find all this stuff
in the way Nagios has decided to
lay everything out.<br>

Is this just a "me" thing? Is it
because my earliest and most often
used monitoring stuff is from a
"Big Brother" background? (BB,
Hobbit, Xymon, Foglight,
Spotlight)<br>
