The government has known for decades that telephone calls can not be intercepted without a warrant. There is no fundamental, ethical, or moral reason why emails are not the same as phone calls. In this day and age, both are digital communications between individuals. If government needs a warrant to listen in on my phone call, then it needs a warrant to read my email.</p>
