<div dir="ltr"><div><div><div><div><div><div>The NSA fully embraced using Linux a long time ago. It was their need that lead to the development of the selinux kernel patch that is used to lock out users from various areas of the system.<br>
<br></div>which begs the question: just _how_ did a contractor get access when NSA is supposed to be using selinux internally and should NOT be using contractors for "all access" positions?<br><br></div>Everyone in IT (Linux at least) has been aware of the ability to capture nearly everything done by everyone for a very long time. The "shock" factor is for the media and general public and uninformed congress critters what capabilities exist and how thin the line is between "anti-terrorism" and <name your worst fear population control/enforcement/spying method>.<br>
<br></div><div><soapbox><br></div>It's not going to get better until it gets much, much worse. Until congress critters are in the spotlight accused of misplaced loyalties based on meta-data inferences, the data collection will continue unabated.
