<div dir="ltr">It really depends on what RAM your server supports. I've always seen the current RAM cheaper then older. For example, if your machine supports DDR3, then <a href="http://www.microcenter.com/product/403678/Server_Memory_16GB_DDR3-1600_(PC3-12800)_CL11_Server_Module_Kit_(Two_8GB_Memory_Modules)">here</a> is a 1x16GB crucial stick for $169. DDR2 and <span class="" style>DDR</span> is probably double or triple that price now. It sucks.</div>

I thought that those factories had come back online. So why is RAM so<br>
freaking expensive? It feels like chips are 2x or 3x (or more!) what<br>
they were a year or two ago.<br>

Is it just crucial? Maybe there is a better/less-expensive source?<br>
