BBs are a special case. All data goes through the RIM servers with them.<br>
Android and iPhone don't have that issues.<br>

This topic has me curious, too. I'd like to see if there are any other<br>
stories of successfully accomplishing this. My dad tried at one point<br>
by moving his AT&T SIM from a Moto Razr to my sister's old Blackberry<br>
(she had replaced the BB with an iPhone). AT&T called him a week later<br>
and told him they noticed he was now using the BB and he'd must add a<br>
data plan to his existing plan or they would drop him. He was going to<br>
use wifi at home and no data when out but AT&T stopped that cold.<br>
Granted this was several years ago but I've long considered the idea and<br>
haven't. I don't want cell data, just wifi.<br>
