<p dir="ltr">Unfortunately the gpu companies had their little trade secret war for so long that msft was able to m make their DirectX, developer crutch, the standard. It will be a while before companies can actually make games to run on Linux.<br>

Just saw this today, which is good news for gamers! Steam is now available on Linux, finally. I'm not looking for a DRM flame war here; I hate Valve/Steam as much as anyone, but this is a fantastic opportunity to bring gamers over from Windows, especially since the god-awful Windows 8 is now the de facto OS on a new system.<br>
