Is the implication that tar is hard to use or something? Or most Unix people need to consult Google to correctly type in a tar command? I know it's been a while, but tar was one of the first Unix commands I learned, and I still use it quite frequently. Lots of stuff comes packaged in tar files, at least in the circles I'm in.
