Good point. I do use Noscript all the time and like it very much.
But, having Java on the system still leaves you vulnerable for sites
that you've trusted, like facebook, ebay, etc. Not having java
available to the browser, or not having it available at all, defeats
all Java vulnerabilities, discovered or not. I remember a case once
where many people were infected from the NY Times website (which you
would presumably trust) when malware got into their ad feed and went
through to all their subscribers.<br>

As you may know, the Java system from Oracle (formerly Sun) just keeps <br>

dangerous. There have been so many that I have just removed Java from <br>
my Windows systems. I haven't totally figured out how to remove it

my Linux systems. If a site needs Java, I generally just move on. <br>
However, there are a few Java applications I want to run. On the

Security Now podcast, Steve mentioned the following link, which tells <br>
how to disable the Java plugin in the browser while still leaving it on

your system. I may try to do something like that. I thought you'd
