<p>It has all the same security holes as sun java. Like windows, the failure is in the design as well as the implementation.<br>
Openjdk is barely better.<br>

Maybe looking at IBM's java implementation would be an option for you? It<br>
is the default on SUSE, and works fine for me. The only time I have had<br>
to swap it out for Sun/Oracle's is when our app dev team writes something<br>
that specifically needs it. For general use, the IBM one works well<br>
