    Lately what seems to work well for me is dark slacks with a
    sculptured "dress" T under a sportcoat - which I leave on.&nbsp; With my
    Jimmy-Page-like hair, I seem to come off more appropriately
    "professorial" looking and more "me" than I'd look in a suit.<br>

      When I just interviewed with the Suit, the VP I interviewed with
      mentioned I looked good in it as he (and everyone else) was
      wearing Jeans and a Polo. I commented I'm glad as I rarely wear
      one since my company does not require such. He laughed and
      accepted that. Was the suit overkill? Yes. Did I show I was
      willing to go above and beyond? Yes. And 3 days later they asked
      for References. It was worth the short amount of discomfort to get
      on the short-list.<br>

              you get in the interview ask "Do you mind if I remove the
              Jacket, it is a bit warm". &nbsp;You want to show them you are
              willing to go the extra step beyond just your technical
              skill set. &nbsp;When you get up to leave, put the Jack on and
              straighten it. When you get back to the car, throw it in

                <p>Regarding jeans for an interview: Only wear jeans if
                  you have dark jeans with a modern finish. These pale
                  stone/acid washed things that gray beards trends to
                  wear don't cut it for an interview. A nice pair of
                  jeans can cost significantly more than a pair of
                  khakis and for that reason you can be considered well
                  dressed in jeans.<o:p></o:p></p>
