Thinkpad x220 from lenovooutlet. I got an i7 with 8gb ram, wwan, and a finger print reader, running mint flawlessly for under $1000.

On Tue, May 22, 2012 at 7:01 AM, Geoffrey Myers <lists@serioustechnology.com> wrote:

Wolf is right, Emperor is not the best $$, but I can vouch for their
expertise and support. I purchased a Sony from them, 2003, I believe.
Great support, and everything works out of the box. They also provide
their custom kernels as updates. I also worked with one of my clients
in getting a Linux laptop for them, and again, same experience.
