A friend's thermostat died and he went off to Home Depot. Came back with a<br>
networked thermostat. As he also has a fixed IP address, he has full<br>
control of the thermostat with his laptop/phone/whatever internet<br>
connected device.<br>
All modern, programmable thermostats have an internal clock.<br>
