Recycling a circuit board is a nasty, messy process that involves basically burning it to extract the metals and flue gas emissions from a complex mix of organics being burned. Ewaste is a huge and rapidly growing issue that is so far mostly exported to the outland regions of other countries for open-pit fires tended by children.
