You call that rum? Appleton's is acceptable for day-to-day drinking, though I prefer Cruzan Single Barrel over Appleton's. For a really good medium-dark rum find a bottle of Ron Anejo Pompero Aniversario. It's a Venezuelan rum so whenever the govt there get's peevish with the US, it's hard to find. For a really good black-strap rum try Gosling's Black Seal or The Kraken (my wife's favorites). <FONT COLOR="#000080">When I lived in the Caribbean I couldn’t find decent rum so had to settle for rum punch. It seems all the good stuff gets sent to America. It is one of the reasons I don’t like Captain Morgan’s – it is spiced like rum punch. Oddly enough though, I did find a couple of very good rum brands in India when I was there. A couple of years ago I found one of those brands being sold in an “organic” liquor store in Chattanooga of all places.</FONT><BR>
